A Clean & Simple Blog Hop

Hiya Magnolia-licious Friends! Today the DT has a fabulously fun BLOG HOP for ya and the theme is "CLEAN & SIMPLE" cards! This was a definite challenge for me since I love lots of layers and embellies, but these cards are so elegant & can have such a fabulous impact that I really enjoyed creating them, as I'm sure the DT did too!

Here are some definitions for CAS cards (clean & simple) but by no means are these the only ones to follow, just suggestions! Splitcoast Stampers has a fabulous CAS gallery as well for you to get some inspiration from (just search the gallery using the keyword "CAS")!

-less than 3 layers
-uncluttered and lots of white space (so there is only one focal point)
-simple embellishments and simple in design
-can be mass produced easily

Now to start the Hop today our first gal up is the talented Kerry Casey-Donovan and then follow along with the gals below:

-Kerry
-Becca
-Cheryl
-Sharon
-Suzanne

We'd love to have you all join in the fun with us as well!

**So if you create a fabulous Clean & Simple card using your Magnolia stamps, make sure and leave a comment on this post with a link! (must be a new card created)

**I will put all the participants into a slideshow so you can see all the fabulous projects!

**And one lucky participant will win a FREE STAMP courtesy of Diana from Magnolia-licious!!

You have until next Friday, October 30th (by midnight EST) to upload your projects!!

Can't wait to see what you come up with!

October Magnolia-licious DT Sketch!

Happy October 1st everyone! Since it's the first of the month that means it's time for the Magnolia-licious DT Sketch! This month it was my turn (Suzanne, hee hee) to come up with it, and I decided instead of a traditional sketch we'd use a fun template.

This Easel Card Template that you can find HERE is quick & easy to use and such a fun way to present a card! I easily switched my dimensions to a 5.5" square so if you want to make it bigger than the template--go right ahead!!
And JUST FOR FUN, as a TWIST (totally optional) you can make your card Monochromatic (all tones of one color)!!

This is a direct link to the template HERE! This is a direct link to the instructions HERE!
**NOTE--I will add a picture step by step tutorial slideshow for you on Friday! **

Now if you wanna join in on the fun, because you have allllll month to do so--upload your card here in the comment section so we can all see (I will try and get them in a slideshow for ya too) and for a chance to win a stamp of your choice from Magnolia-licious!

Measurements for Easel Card:
-for a 5x5" square (1 pc of cs at 5x10" & scored at 2.5" & 5", 1 pc cs at 5x5")
-for a 5.5" square (1 pc of cs at 5.5x11" & scored at 2.75" & 5.5", 1 pc cs at 5.5x5.5")
-for a 6x6" square (1 pc of cs at 6x12" & scored at 3" & 6", 1 pc cs at 6x6")

Directions for Easel Card: (click on slideshow to make larger)

Now scroll down to see all the fabulous DT's Easel Cards (they will be added as they come in)!! I added an extra picture of mine so you could see how the easel looks from the side--pretty cool!!
